The Custom Coverage program enhances the limited 1-year warranty coverage on qualifying Genuine Harley-Davidson® Parts and Accessories that are purchased new, installed by Oakland Harley-Davidson® and registered to a qualifying new motorcycle.

This Custom Coverage allows you the opportunity to purchase & install new accessories with your motorcycle purchase and receive the Custom Coverage extended Limited Warranty (24 months), rather than the standard 1-year Parts and Accessories post-purchase over-the-counter warranty. Best of all, it doesn't cost anything to take advantage of this offer.

To qualify for Custom Coverage, 1) the new motorcycle must be under Harley-Davidson®'s Limited Warranty at the time the Genuine Harley-Davidson® Parts and Accessories are purchased and installed; 2) the Genuine Harley-Davidson® Parts and Accessories must be installed by Oakland Harley-Davidson®; and 3) the Genuine Harley-Davidson® Parts and Accessories must be electronically registered to the vehicle by Oakland Harley-Davidson®.

The Harley-Davidson® Custom Coverage Limited Warranty Enhancement for Genuine Motor Parts and Genuine Motor Accessories will run concurrently with and for the remaining length of the new motorcycle's 24-month Manufacturer's Limited Warranty. If the motorcycle's Limited Warranty expires during the term of the Genuine Harley-Davidson® Parts' or Accessory's P&A part warranty (1-year from purchase date), then he P&A limited part warranty will still provide coverage for the remaining term of the limited part warranty but will no longer have the enhanced labor coverage.

Q) How Long Are My Parts Covered?

A) Normally, your eligible street legal Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts & Genuine Motor Accessories have a 1-year Limited warranty. However, the Custom Coverage program allows the Parts & Accessories warranty to run concurrent with the remainder of the motorcycle's 24-month manufacturer's warranty. This means that if you purchase a new Harley-Davidson® motorcycle and immediately customize it with Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts & Genuine Motor Accessories, those items could have a much longer warranty. And if you purchase an extended warranty, the parts coverage follows that warranty. Oakland Harley-Davidson® offers extended warranties up to 7 years.

Q) Can I Buy My Parts Online and Have Still Have Them Covered Under Custom Coverage?

A)Parts and accessories must be purchased through a) Oakland Harley-Davidson® directly, b) In-Store Online Purchase from Oakland Harley-Davidson®, or c) Harley-Davidson.com E-Commerce site.

Q) Do My Parts Need to Be Installed at a Dealership, or Can I Install Them Myself?

A) Parts and accessories must be installed and registered by Oakland Harley-Davidson®.

Q) How Often Can I Buy Products and Have Them Covered Under the 24-Month Coverage?

A) Visit an authorized Harley-Davidson® dealership as often as you like during your two-year new motorcycle warranty to select, purchase and install accessories. This offer applies to all new, previously untitled Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. The earlier you purchase the Genuine Harley-Davidson® parts and accessories, the better.

EXAMPLE: A Harley-Davidson® Daymaker headlight is installed and registered to a vehicle which has 8-months remaining on its Manufacturer's Limited Warranty. The headlight qualifies for 8 months of Custom Coverage Limited Warranty (Parts and Labor) and 4 months of standard P&A warranty (Part Only). The earlier in your new bike warranty that the parts and accessories are purchased and installed by us, the better the benefit for you.
